Josh Stanley

Josh Stanley is a leading medical cannabis entrepreneur and advocate working to advance the medical cannabis industry in the United States and throughout the world. Josh has worked in the medical cannabis industry for over 8 years and was one of the first individuals to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Denver, Colorado.

Josh’s history in medical marijuana includes starting Colorado’s first medical political action committee the Medical Marijuana Industry Group, drafting the first House Bill 1284, and he was responsible for writing the research and development portion of House Bill 1043. In addition to this, Josh also sat on the regulations boards for the Colorado Department of Revenue’s Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division and Research and Development.

Josh and his brothers bred a non-psychoactive, cannabinoid-rich strain of the cannabis plant with low Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content which became known as Charlotte’s Web.  This specialized varietal of medical cannabis is now classified as hemp and has proven to be beneficial for varying degrees of epilepsy in both pediatric and adult patients.  Josh and his brothers’ effort to help children restore their lives with Charlotte’s Web hemp extracts has made international headlines including several nationally aired documentaries, including Sanjay Gupta’s CNN series Weed and Weed 2.

In addition to being the spokesman for Stanley Brothers, producers of Charlotte’s Web™ products, Josh continues to advocate daily for patient rights. As a much sought after speaker, Josh has the ability to sift through the propaganda and fear encompassing the medical cannabis industry and delivers a compassionate appeal to end prohibition.
