Jeffrey Block MD

Jeffrey S. Block, M.D. achieved his bachelor’s degree in chemistry/psychology from Emory University in
1978, and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Miami in 1982. He is a Board-Certified
Anesthesiologist, Fellowship trained in Pain Management & Addiction Medicine, and a nationally
respected authority on health-care and agricultural science. Dr. Block was the Florida Medical
Association’s “Designated Expert on Botanical Medicines”, authoring Florida’s mandated physician
education. He was the only physician appointed by Florida’s Surgeon General to determine the
Department of Health’s rules for the Compassionate Medical Cannabis Act of 2014.
Dr. Block is a teaching Professor at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, and his
presentations and insight are frequently sought through his position as founding partner of Nurturing
