Biography
Deborah Malka MD, PhD is a holistic physician specializing in cannabis medical consultations in the Central Coast of California. Prior to clinical practice, Dr. Malka completed her PhD in Human Genetics from Columbia University, and studied both natural and traditional medicine, with degrees from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and the Santa Fe College of Natural Medicine. The field of cannabis medicine allows her to integrate her expertise in allopathic medicine, herbal medicine, research and patient care.
She is both a clinician and an educator in this specialty. She has previously served as the medical director for MediCann Inc., a group of clinics providing medical marijuana evaluations in California, serving over 300,000 patients. Her private practice in cannabis consultations, CannabisPlus is in the Central Coast area of California. She is currently the faculty director for an on-line CME accredited course in Clinical Cannabinoid Medicine sponsored by the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, and presented at http://themedicalcannabisinstitute.org/course/clinical-cannabinoid-medicine-curriculum.
Dr Malka presented “Cannabis for Common Diagnoses: Low Back Pain” at the Inaugural Marijuana for Medical Professionals Conference in September, 2014.
